Fair Oak Farm is a beautiful full-care board facility with everything you and your horse could need for training or pleasure! We have a large, 20-stall, center-aisle barn with heated indoor wash stall with hot/cold water; separate feed room, and a fly-spray system. The barn is also protected with lightning rods. The tack room has heat and air conditioning, a washer and dryer, plus a bathroom with shower. Each boarder gets his/her own cabinet in the tack room, plus a saddle rack. There is also extra storage in a separate tack room in the hayloft. Fair Oak farm has 15 paddocks for ample, individual turnout. If requested, your horse may be turned out with another horse if the situation is compatible for both horses and owners. We find turnout to be very important for all horses, so we try to allow for as much time out as we can. All paddocks have a turnout shed that is protected with lightning rods – perfect protection for those quick summer storms! We can also blanket your horse and/or put on turnout boots if needed. I'm very picky about the care of my event horses, and I'm very conscious of what they're fed. I consider the care and feeding of boarders' horses just as important as the care that my horses receive. In order to allow the client to keep a feeding program that he/she feels is most beneficial for his/her horse, Fair Oak Farm feeds a great variety of quality grains - such as Pennfield, Strategy, Omolene, Equine Senior, etc. We will also feed your horse any other grain that we can obtain from our local feed store at a comparable price. We will also feed any supplements that you provide.I'm also very picky about my hay. I buy a tractor/trailer load at a time for consistency, and will only feed the very best orchard grass/clover or timothy/light alfalfa mix to my horses. And if I feed it to my horses, your horses get it too! To aid in your training process, Fair Oak Farm has a standard dressage arena with excellent rubber footing. And for those times when you can't get to the barn until late, the ring has lights! We also have a jumping field for the hunter/jumpers and eventers. One of Fair Oak Farm's best qualities is its' close proximity to other training venues, local shows, and trails. The farm is just a hack away from the Kennedy Ring - another local dressage ring - or the Hunter Trial Field - where I go to gallop my eventers. You can also walk to the Walthour Moss Foundation for hours of hacking. It's been a great place to start my young event horses! Full-care board starts at $550 per month.
